Youth, Children, and Education Youth and children are very important at CUMC. We strive to have quality programs for children of all ages to help our children grow in their service to God and others. Sunday School We have weekly Sunday school for all ages. Our children 2 years old through 5th grade use the Live B.I.G. curriculum to learn basic Bible stories as well as ways to show and share God's love for all during their daily lives. Sunday school children frequently make crafts that are showcased on our bulletin boards or participate in other projects to help encourage family involvement in our church. Vacation Bible School Each year in July, CUMC hosts a week-long Vacation Bible School activity for children 4 years old through 5 grade. During this week, children learn of God's love, Bible stories, play games, make crafts, and enjoy in fellowship with other children and adults while exploring a central theme.
VBS will be held July 16-20 from 9:00 a.m. to noon each day. Registration will begin soon and will be available both online and in the church office! Youth Group CUMC has a very active youth group program for children in 6th through 12th grades. Our middle school (6-8) and high school (9-12) grade youth groups meet individually on Wednesday nights, as well as during Sunday school. Children in youth group frequently help with our Wednesday Nite Bites, take local and national mission trips, and are active participants in planning and carrying out various activities at CUMC. Confirmation Confirmation classes are offered for youth in 6th and 7th grades. During Confirmation, youth learn the basic principles of membership at Christ United Methodist Church. The Confirmation experience culminates with the youth officially joining the church each spring. Christ Academy Preschool and Childcare Our preschool and childcare operate daily from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm within Christ United Methodist Church.
